I’m amazed soo many still believe in that contradictory nonsense
It’s kind of like saying “ a few bad apples…” without completing the phrase
“Spoil the whole barrel” or bunch or whatever
During Tea Party rallies and campaign speeches, we have been told that America was founded as a Christian nation, and that if the Founding Fathers were here today, they’d tell us so.
Here’s John Adams in the Treaty of Tripoli: “As the Government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion…”
And here’s Thomas Jefferson: “… That our civil rights have no dependence on our religious opinions.”
And here’s the First Amendment to the US Constitution: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.”

Thomas Jefferson even created an edited version of the Bible, because he thought most if was bullshit.
Next up they’ll say “George Washington looked vaguely in the general direction of a Bible once, therefore we should be able to shove our hate-filled rules into government!”
Not everyone believes in fairy tales.
Most of us outgrow them by the time we are eight.
They read it, and said “absolutely not, like, the whole point is NONE of this.”
