  1. Label says : A pretentious piece of garbage that you can buy and pretend is art to do some tax evasion.

  2. I just hate that stuff like this is called art. I mean, if I throw a beer can on the floor, it’s trash, if an artist does it it’s art, all of a sudden. I remember a story decades ago where a cleaning lady leaned a mop against the wall and left her bucket beside it in a modern art museum. For a couple of days the visitors were admiring the “installation”…

  3. The art is not creating the piece.

The art is getting your trash put into a museum or gallery and sell it for a shitload of money.
I wish I had the skill and balls to pull that of, but I do not so my trash has to go into a container.

  4. At Brussels South there is an expostion about dented cans and trash.

You can also find very artistic drug use

  5. If you can’t recognize it as a work of art at a glance it’s shitty art.
Most of the fine art world are just a playground for nepo babies anyway.

  6. “Ist das Kunst oder kann das weg” (Is this art or can this go [into the bin])

isn’t a saying in german for nothing ;D

Performance Art and Abstract Art are often beyond stupid.

  7. *sigh*

This is a small museum about food and art, mostly aimed at younger people. The art has no signs, no documentation and the (young) staff will engage with the visitors and discuss (mostly) the intensions of the artists. And it’s mostly educational about food and not about art. These cans are not real cans, but ceramic recreations and apparently really well done if people confuse them for the real thing. Or this mechanic is a total moron because everybody can feel the difference between ceramic and metal.

So no, this is not your typical expensive, arrogant modern art museum. But hey, why care about facts if you can have an opinion, right?

  8. Great art. It served its purpose in life. Is now recycled so another great mind can make something fabulous.
