Imagine paying extra to live in P🤮ris. Especially if you’re poor, why not just lay down next to a pile of litter? Smells the same probably

  1. No fucking way 1800€ is even close to average in Helsinki. Why would you even rent if you have that kind of money.

  2. 80 percent of the people in the Paris region live in the suburbs.

  3. The more important question is why do you want to live in the capital of the country?! The matter of fact is that every capital is a shithole.

  4. Why the fuck would anyone pay that much to live in Stockholm?

  5. They would have to pay me way more than 2500€ to move to Paris.

  6. European Capitals:

    Moscow… 🧐🤨

  7. Great, now normalize it according to the median income!

  8. is this EU only or are the actually no Swiss cities on the list?

  9. Paris is about as clean as any other major city but I guess consumming content from americans trash talking Paris got to your head

  10. That doesn’t even reflect how expensives they actually are, for example, in Madrid minimun wage is around €1200 meaning that if u earn the minimun must move somewhere else (I lived in Madrid is really that expensive)
Meanwhile in brussels minimun wage is around €1800/2000 (I don’t have it clear and don’t want to google it out) meanwhile you can still rent and ā€œaffordā€ to live, it’s still expensive, but is affordable

  11. 2018…. Good thing nothing crazy happened after that year

  12. More ridiculous is why is Dublin almost as expensive as London?

At least London and Paris are big metropolitan cities. Dublin is tiny in comparison.

  13. 2018 was a million years ago. It’s been 6 years of price inflation and wage stagnation in the UK. The French have NOTHING on us!

  14. This post is approved by all French people living outside of Paris

  15. Surprised at how Lisboa isn’t in the chart. Old data for sure.

  16. BS. I pay 750€ for 40m² appartment close to Helsinki center. 3 minutes from metro and mall.

  17. Really Rome more than Milan, that’s surprising honestly

  18. Tbh I don’t like the format of the statistic. It can easily be altered by a different mean size of apartments.

If the mean apartment in Paris is 85 m^2 while the mean apartment in Dublin is 70 m^2, then (arguably) Dublin apartments are more costly then Parisienne.

An “average montly rent per square meter” metrics would have been much, much more useful.

  19. Homeworking, and live outside capitals. Problem solve for people who work in offices

  20. Good luck finding an apartment in Amsterdam for 1500 EUR in 2024.

  21. lol 2018. That’s the past, prices were almost bearable back then
