Herons are evil.
A few great blue herons have taken up residence in a lake near my house for the last 4 or 5 years. Always enjoy watching them when I got by on a walk.
Is it? This is the first I’m heron about it.

Weirdly I filmed a heron not so far away this morning but I could never get THIS close

I got chatting to some Dutch tourists on a ferry recently, and asked what they liked about the UK and they said the scenery. I was a bit surprised at first but then I saw the Dutch “countryside”. It’s like one enormous Lincolnshire, the poor bastards.
Water look very still for the amount of motion in it.

They are enemy No. 1 if you have a pond of goldfish or koi in the vicinity
