French ‘Golden Owl’ treasure hunt ends after 31 years • FRANCE 24 English
A mass treasure hunt launched in France in 1993 appeared to have been solved Thursday, with the guardian of the elusive “Golden Owl” prize saying someone had finally found it. The find marks the end of a three-decade search across France and a string of legal and financial battles over the Owl, which has inspired thousands of people to test their grey matter against riddles set by a long-dead man. FRANCE 24’s Laurent Berstecher reports.

Was found in 2013 but reported now as if it's new story?
hmm well you french have always been good
at making highly valued works of art
but wouldnt it be great if some wealthy individual
could pay to the finders fee of 150k eur
and then donate and dedicate the statue
on behalf of all europes continued protection
to the person who uses the owl as his symbol
the budanov individual for all of his significant efforts
because he himself has some painting or picture of an owl
yet the nation state of ukraine could better remember him
with that golden maltese falcon type statue
but also what a lovely treasure hunt too
to make a gallery panels next to it into some museum
to tell the wider stories behind both the statue and the individual
then again owls are not exclusive to budanov
its just a bit uncommon type of a creature

for those continued support of ukraine
