  1. 27% inflation since Biden/Harris took office. The only thing that would change it is if they stopped printing money.

  2. I hate how this sub becomes knuckle dragging right wing talking points before any election

  3. We will have bigger disruptions before we meaningfully address anything. Also need to stack the legislature with people who actually want to deal with our problems. I think 2026 to 2034 is when we will actually do things like universal healthcare, LVT, UBI and carbon taxes. Assuming we move forward and don’t regress into some version of modern russia.

  4. No they don’t.

Voters think the economy is great… for them.

They think the economy stinks for everyone else.

It’s a perception thing. We’re mostly overcoming the price gouging. Americans think the economy is fine so long as they have food & shelter.

  5. In one of these polls something like 60% thought the economy was in a bad place but more than 80% said they were in a decent financial position. To me that says more about the coverage than any metric people pay attention to.

Even according to this 61% think the economy is weak but 52% (26% each) feel that financially they are just as well off or improving.

On top of this 76% of people think their financial position is excellent, good or fair. With the remaining 24% thinking their finances are poor. The real story is that this is the headline CNN chose.

  6. They’re all convinced this is the worst economy in history, obviously they have short memories…
Or they haven’t lived long enough…
Sadly, not enough hate is directed at the actual problem, simply put, corporate greed. Stop supporting these companies, stop purchasing their items.
    But consumers are addicted…

  7. The economy is fine but the inflation is crazy. The consequences of expanding the money supply drastically. And it was a bipartisanship effort.
