– Kamala Harris called into The Weather Channel on Wednesday to speak about Hurricane Milton ahead of its evening landfall—an appearance the network said was also offered to Donald Trump, but he ignored it.
Trump’s snubbing of the network comes just after he did the same to 60 Minutes, accusing the show of being unfair and demanding that CBS release a full transcript of its recent interview with Harris, suggesting they’d edited the footage to make her appear better.
The vice president spoke with The Weather Channel’s Mike Bettes for nearly 10 minutes about things like FEMA’s funding and cracking down on price-gougers who prey on victims in disaster zones.
Bettes also asked Harris about her feud with Ron DeSantis, which began with the Florida governor not taking a phone call from her this week and accusing her of “politicizing” the threat Milton poses. “This is not a time for us to just point fingers at each other as Americans,” Harris told Bettes.
She later added: “Anybody who considers themselves to be a leader should really be in the business right now of giving people a sense of confidence that we’re all working together and that we have the resources and the ability to work together on their behalf.”

I had to go back to work, but the reporter mentioned they reached out to Trump as well and I was wondering if he called in, so thanks for suggesting he didn’t.
