New Tooting ‘village’ to get an extra 449 homes as City Hall overrules council

Based, makes you wonder how many developments get successfully downscaled for no good reason.
It’s great they’re building more homes there and I hope they’re as affordable as possible. There is going to need to be a commensurate improvement in public transport in the area. It’s well off the Tube and the two nearest railway stations (Wandsworth Common and Earlsfield) are quite small and heavily used already.
Great news, Tooting is a great area that alot of my friends have considered moving too but have had trouble finding a place. Keep building more homes PLEASE!

Double it, and give it to the next village
New London Homes = Wealthy families buying a second/ third home for their ‘first time buyer’ kids.

Are these going to be leasehold flats with exorbitant service charges?
