Do you eat your crisps with your sandwich like a meal, or afterwards like a pudding?
October 10, 2024
I've always had my crisps afterwards but noticed some people make a sort of lunch buffet, for want of a better term. Do people have any strong views on this? Clearly I have too much time on my hands if I'm wondering about this.

Sometimes the crisps end up IN the sandwich! Nom nom nom
Afterwards
Inside the bastards
Depends on the flavour, but often about half the bag goes into the sandwiches and I finish off what’s left after I’ve eaten the sandwiches.
If it was a chicken or turkey sandwich for example, I would leave salt and vinegar crisps for after so they don’t over power the subtle hints of the sarnie. If it’s corned beef and Branston, or Piccalilli, that can take the flavour.
Sweet Christ, I used to be cool years ago. Now I’m categorising crisps on Reddit.
Pick the right crisps to go in the sandwich.
Sometimes alongside, sometimes after, sometimes in.
I like to change it up.
Any real crisp eater knows, you put it IN the sandwich!
You can not have a sandwich, and crisps, without putting the crisps, inside the sandwich.
After, always after!
I eat them *in* my sandwiches, like any self-respecting northern man should.
I’m more interested in the sandwich filling of choice – what’s going on in the picture?
In the butty
Just polished off a ham sandwich with walkers cheese & onion placed within.
Best combination of flavour and texture.
In the sandwich
Eat one sandwich, have some crisps. Eat the other sandwich, finish the crisps.
Later that day normally haha
Depends what sandwich it is.
With.
Defo in the sandwich
With the meal and sometimes putting them on the sandwich.
Unpopular opinion but I enjoy them before
I’m doing it right now.
With! I love the texture contrast of the soft bread with the crunchiness of the crisps!
afterwards
Crisps inside the sandwixh.
Unless its pickled onion monster munch. Food of the Gods and enjoyed on their own.
Afterwards? Are you even a Brit? What psychopathic behaviour.
You eat those crisps alongside/in/at the same time (however), you do NOT eat them afterwards. That’s what a chocolate bar is for, or a piece of fruit if you’re that way inclined.
A friend at work said he eats his crisps separately and I was like wtf.. the whole point is to combine flavours
Me. Like a meal. Mrs. Like a pudding
I appreciate you asking the hard hitting questions, OP!
