I've always had my crisps afterwards but noticed some people make a sort of lunch buffet, for want of a better term. Do people have any strong views on this? Clearly I have too much time on my hands if I'm wondering about this.

  1. Sometimes the crisps end up IN the sandwich! Nom nom nom

  2. Depends on the flavour, but often about half the bag goes into the sandwiches and I finish off what’s left after I’ve eaten the sandwiches.

If it was a chicken or turkey sandwich for example, I would leave salt and vinegar crisps for after so they don’t over power the subtle hints of the sarnie. If it’s corned beef and Branston, or Piccalilli, that can take the flavour.

Sweet Christ, I used to be cool years ago. Now I’m categorising crisps on Reddit.

  3. Sometimes alongside, sometimes after, sometimes in.

I like to change it up.

  4. Any real crisp eater knows, you put it IN the sandwich!

  5. You can not have a sandwich, and crisps, without putting the crisps, inside the sandwich.

  6. I eat them *in* my sandwiches, like any self-respecting northern man should.

  7. I’m more interested in the sandwich filling of choice – what’s going on in the picture?

  8. Just polished off a ham sandwich with walkers cheese & onion placed within.

Best combination of flavour and texture.

  9. Eat one sandwich, have some crisps. Eat the other sandwich, finish the crisps.

  10. With! I love the texture contrast of the soft bread with the crunchiness of the crisps!

  11. Crisps inside the sandwixh.

Unless its pickled onion monster munch. Food of the Gods and enjoyed on their own.

  12. Afterwards? Are you even a Brit? What psychopathic behaviour.

You eat those crisps alongside/in/at the same time (however), you do NOT eat them afterwards. That’s what a chocolate bar is for, or a piece of fruit if you’re that way inclined.

  13. A friend at work said he eats his crisps separately and I was like wtf.. the whole point is to combine flavours

  14. I appreciate you asking the hard hitting questions, OP!
