  1. >With less than a month until Election Day, Vice President Kamala Harris is taking aim at one of former President Donald Trump’s [most stubborn advantages](https://www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opinion/kamala-harris-poll-economy-inflation-rcna164099). Most surveys still show that voters think the failed businessman would handle the economy better than she would. And so, [as NBC News recently reported](https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2024-election/kamala-harris-final-push-economy-donald-trump-polling-rcna174277), in the closing stretch of the campaign, Harris’ focus is on eroding that unearned trust in Trump’s economic savvy.

Harris has [cut into Trump’s lead on the economic front](https://www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opinion/harris-finally-catching-trump-important-economy-question-rcna171994) since becoming the nominee. The most recent [New York Times-Siena College survey](https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2024/10/08/us/elections/times-siena-poll-likely-electorate-crosstabs.html), released Tuesday, showed that the economy remains far and away the most important issue for voters as the election comes down to the wire. That same poll found Harris [2 points down](https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/08/us/politics/harris-trump-poll-national.html) against Trump on who voters trust to handle the issue they think is most important. She was [5 points behind](https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2024/09/08/us/politics/times-siena-poll-likely-electorate-crosstabs.html) in September.

  3. The main difference:

Kamala works with and listens to multitudes of experts and crafts policies based on knowledge, experience, and reality.

Trump thinks HE’S the expert and listens to no one outside of those who have something he wants for himself.

  4. She has none, or she steals his ideas and tries to make them hers, or she just says “tax the rich”.

She’s for nothing folks. She’s been in charge for almost 4 years already. You know what you are getting.
