Former President Donald Trump dismisses the science of climate change as a “scam” and a “hoax,” promising to lower energy prices by cutting government regulations on fossil fuels and incentivizing oil and gas production.
Vice President Kamala Harris calls climate change a “global challenge” and is running to protect and expand the government’s role in tackling climate change by regulating fossil fuels and incentivizing the use of renewable energy.
Don’t fall for the bullshit. Both of these capitalists are willing to risk the future of the biosphere on incrementalism and half measures. The fact is that there is no political will to live in a truly sustainable fashion here in the US. We will try every technocratic solution up until the point where everything has failed and the heat continues to mount unabated, and the capitalists will say “we tried everything, there’s nothing we can do” despite having never seriously considered systemic change (which requires the end of capitalism).
We are foolish species that has become a slave to its own social construct and the architect of its own demise.

Republicans: Humans cannot affect the climate, but Democrats are controlling hurricanes.
I’m sorry but Democrats endlessly parroted “listen to scientists” during a pandemic, but ignored climate scientists for 40+ years… and continue ignoring their calls for radical action today. Trump is the anti-christ… but Democrats promising to continue extracting more fossil fuels than any nation in the history of Earth is de facto science denialism.
Harris will be better, but there really isn’t a difference between 3-deg and 5-deg of warming – both will end modern civilization as we know it.
