I was studying for my Masters at the University of Salford (which is a whole different story!), and had watched matches with my mates, but this was my first live City match. Shout out to the Villa supporter who maintained eye contact with me while singing, I still see your gaze in my head nearly 20 years on. It scared the shit out of me, but I knew I was hooked. Been a blue for half my life now. It’s been a wild ride, the highs and the lows. At the end of the day I think I am, I know I am, I’m City til’ I die.
