This is entirely based on bills voted on and sponsored in the house and senate – note that the current session has not completed yet. I can update when we’re in the new year!
You can play with topic filters in the interactive – Abortion, Guns, Taxation, etc. Issues like Defense Spending (that don’t have a consistent partisan lean) can get a little wonky.

Balance like all things should be
Would be cool to see the majority/minority leaders on each side during each Congress as well. But this is a neat post.
Also interesting to see the “wobble” settle. I wonder if that’s happening anywhere else and how that’s affected their politics.
