Putin’s war aims no longer viable if British troops land in Ukraine

“Putin has got away with too much.”

A deployment of UK troops into Ukraine would show Russia that Zelensky has “long term international support” and Russia’s approach will not work in comparison, says Director of Military Sciences at RUSI, Matthew Savill.

  1. NATO troops could guard the border between Ukraine and Belarus releasing Ukrainian troops to be used elsewhere.

NATO could go into towns like Bucha investigating war crimes.

NATO could allow the Ukrainians to hit legitimate military targets within Russia eliminating ammunition depots.

NATO air force could shoot down drones and missiles aimed at civilians.

These measures will deescalate the conflict to a degree where Putin will have to give up his attempt to conquer Ukraine.

  2. 😂😂hes literally set to sign a mutual defense pact with iran next week…i understand being biased..but atp you'll loose credibility after these conflicts

  3. reality is – western officials already started publicly talking about Ukraine ceeding some territory to Russia (that means putting Ukraine on their knees) ,and this guy is talking about "british troops in Ukraine"???😅😅😅

  4. Russia's armed forces are incompetent enough. Keep sending them money and supplies and let Ukraine fight them. British training will make little difference except increasing the possibility of of making this actually worse.

  5. Brilliant news. The gay troupe are coming. 😂😂😂😂
Really don't think so. You see you don't have what it takes anymore.
    Sad but true.
    ❤❤❤Russia from the 🇬🇧.

  6. The New Voice of Ukraine – Russian troops break through Ukrainian Defense Forces left flank in Kursk Oblast – "Today was an extremely difficult day near Novoivanovka: artillerymen and drone operators had to enter the battle," the report said. "Although the first attempts achieved tactical success near Snagost, they were eventually completely halted—until today," they clarified.

Russian forces are now attempting to set defenses near settlements of Novoivanivka and Zelenyi Shlyakh. DeepState described the tactical situation for adjacent Ukrainian units to the north as "extremely unreliable."

The weak coordination of the Ukrainian forces in Kursk Oblast marks another challenge.

"The Ukrainian grouping in Kursk Oblast is a large 'hodgepodge' with corresponding levels of coordination. The vibe of the day, as unfortunate as it sounds, is the disabling of a Defense Forces' tank by an FPV drone from the Defense Forces," DeepState commented.

The analysts also warned that repeating mistakes of this kind could lead to "another disaster."

The New Voice of Ukraine – Ukrainian Armed Forces report significant military equipment shortages, says Zelenskyy.

More than 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers have deserted or abandoned their units since the beginning of 2024, according to local judicial reports. Kyiv is struggling to recruit men as its army has been decimated and exhausted after more than two years of conflict, compounded by the daily advances of Russian troops on the eastern front. While desertions have occurred since the conflict began in February 2022, the number has skyrocketed over the past two years, rising from 3,342 in 2022 to more than 15,000 two years later, according to data collected by the judiciary.

According to journalist Volodymyr Boiko, who serves in the 101st Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the real number of deserters may be as high as 150,000—ten times the official figure.

"Deserters are not being pursued—which has led to the problem building up over the past two and a half years. Now the situation is at a deadlock. It is impossible to bring such a large number of deserters to justice," he wrote on Facebook.

  7. British army or defense is a joke only hoping United States comes to their aid they can't even send their poorly trained kids to Ukraine to engage men, never! What happened to volunteer fighters?

  8. Are we sure it’s not massive hubris to think that the UK and the US can “train” these Ukrainian soldiers better than they can themselves….? At this point they have vastly more experience fighting a European ground war than we have in 80 years. I’m surprised we’re not trying to learn from THEM.

  9. ukrainian peace plan as per UN September 2024 Zalensky Speech :
    1 nuclear security
    2 energy security
    3 food security
    4 exchange of prisoners
    5 territorial sovereignity
    6 withdawl of russian forces
    7 prosecution of war criminals
    8 restoration of the environment
9 no more invasions (joining NATO)
    10 sign off

These can be negotiated seperately and number 4 ….prisoner exchange …..is ongoing.

  10. Ukraine is on the verge of total defeat, as winter approaches, the hair-brained and costly Kursk operation fails, a different settlement falls every week, further defensive lines collapse in many regions and Zelensky cuts a dejected figure passing the cap around European capitals yesterday.

  11. the british were an empire. huge! but as they became dumber and lazier, they became a smaller empire. the conclusion is that if they send troops to ukraine, they will become dead or russians, because their island will become so small that you won't be able to park a car on it! so they will have nowhere to return!🤣🤣🤣🤣

  12. German here: As much as i appreciate the UKs strong support for Ukraine, i don't really understand their motivation. Given their geographical island position and their close relationship with the US, they are pretty safe and could just sit back and relax, and only start getting concered when Russia has taken Poland and Germany. But here there are doing more than any other European country. Can anyone explain?

  13. The 'Victory Plan' is dead in the water. Apparently, there is a 'new' plan.Meanwhile, the loss of life is unsustainable for Ulraine. The current Ukraine Government doesn't represent the best interests of it's population. The country is being destroyed for no good reason!

  14. We in the UK need to keep quiet.
We do not have the size of military anymore to do anything.
We lack ships, planes and people.
We need to support, with money, French and other continental countries who can develop and supply the weapons needed.
Sweden, France amongst others have a strong defence sector. Let them lead.
We are finished as a military power………let it be…

  15. People in the media business are only interested in one thing. Getting their gibberish out so as to gain popularity and make money. They can claim anything. Sensationalism sells. The British Army are not match for a country the size of Russia.

  16. Israel is at war, that sadly means America has moved to the Middle East. Ukraine will be forgotten as Afghanistan was. Kievs only hope is EU picks up slack. Ukraine military, air defense, power grid, Eastern/Southern fronts, are all crumbling. Unconditional Surrender will be unavoidable in 2025, without peace talks.

  17. Are the British so stupud as to think that their piddly little military will change anything other than reducing the British armed forces considerably, get real Britain is no longer a power
