Berlin: Ukraine’s Zelenskyy to present ‘victory plan’ to German Chancellor Scholz | DW News

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is heading to Berlin for talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. It’s the last stop on Zelenskyy’s lightning tour of Europe.

Earlier today, Zelenskyy was at the Vatican for a meeting with Pope Francis. He also held talks with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in Rome. His tour earlier included stops in France and Britain. Zelenskyy presented his counterparts with what he’s calling his ‘Victory Plan’ – a roadmap to ending the war on Ukraine’s terms.

Today, he will make his case to Germany’s leaders. DW’s Nick Connolly takes a look at what we know about Zelenskyy’s plan – and its chances of success.

  4. It's a waste of tym and it's gonna shame Germany and the west see the US signaling out and leaving EU to solve its own rubbish. Europe can neva do anything alone. It's a waste of resources and tym for poor Europe.

  7. "Ending the war on Ukraine's terms." Jesus Christ! I'm anti-RU but this kind of talk just sounds crazy to the extreme. Ukraine, who is on West's life support is fighting Russia who is way bigger, way richer, way more populous, and Ukraine wants to end the war on Ukraine's terms?! Insanity disconnected from reality! I can't believe western media are saying things like this. I feel like I'm in an insane asylum listening to other inmates' insane delusions.

  8. Nasty bots have overrun this site. If it was THEIR country being destroyed, THEIR citizens being brutally murdered, they would be silent. Ukraine has EVERY right to self-governance, rather than have the boot of a brutal kleptocracy destroy their democracy and their historical identity.   20. Yeah!!! Unconditional surrender is probably the only plan left. Should have never done Maidan coup. Since then, with every development, it just keeps getting worse for Ukraine. For the ethnic Ukrainian majority, as well as the minority populations that it has been repressing since Maidan. Ethnic Russians will still have a future, once they will be part of Russia.

  23. Immediate NATO membership coupled with an immediate ceasefire and the opening of negotiations. This is not only the guarantee for a free Ukraine but also the guarantee that NATO remain viable.
