Pedri on creativity is just a circle. What a beast
Always use statistics as a tool, but they don’t tell the whole story. If M. Bernal were fit, it would be fairly obvious that Pedri, Bernal, and Olmo form our best midfield trio.
However, since Casado lacks aerial ability, he needs to be paired with someone like Frenkie, who not only offers excellent in-possession skills but also has significant creative potential to unlock.
Frenkie, though, cannot be relied upon as the primary defensive midfielder due to his awareness and positioning. But when paired with someone possessing the positioning and intensity of a true defensive midfielder (like Busquets or during his time at Ajax), his defensive numbers improve.
Gavi is our best midfielder in terms of defensive actions, but I believe he should be gradually introduced as a starter throughout the season.
Pedri is the perfect hybrid of Iniesta and Xavi, incredibly creative. While the stats may not fully capture it, his ability to block passing lanes intelligently and exploit angles to force opposition mistakes is highly underrated. It’s why it’s absurd when people claim he offers nothing off the ball.
In short: there’s no need to worry because they’ll all be fit together for about five minutes once a year.

Surprised Gavi’s arial dual % is so low. He’s obviously small, but still seems to just out jump everyone because he wants it more.

I was going to make a comment about how Frenkie’s in possession graph being almost a full circle, but then I saw Pedri’s creativity graph and burst out laughing. Pedri is on a different level
Pedri should be the first name on the sheet for this team
I think Gavi should fight for his place back but I see him slotting in with Pedri playing an advanced role and all of them rotating frequently with Frenkie
Calm down he’s gonna be an option off the bench once everybody is fit . He lack of physicality gonna be a weakness in our midfield as a 6 . Barca fans tend to be obsessed with miniature players (riqui puig, Pablo torre, gavi) when in this system physicality matters . Let’s all calm down and let the kid grow
