Meghan Markle Joined Local Tweens for Some Crafting—With Support From Oprah and Melinda French Gates’s Foundations
October 11, 2024
The duchess joined Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara to kick off the 160-year-old program for girls’ new collaboration with responsible tech nonprofit #HalfTheStory.
It’s wonderful to see her addressing such an important issue with young girls. I’ve noticed how much my nieces are glued to certain beauty influencers on social media and how it has influenced how they see themselves and what they think is beautiful. It’s worrying because it impacts their self-esteem. Meghan’s visit goes hand in hand with Prince Harry’s recent talk about the effects of social media on mental health. I love that they’re both getting involved in this conversation—it’s so needed
Tech isn’t going anywhere. It’s good to give today’s youth the tools they need to thrive on and offline. This is good work
Why would this post be downvoted? Anything slightly praising or even just not outright hating her is downvoted. It’s pretty pathetic
