Could Trump have stopped Putin’s war in Ukraine?

“It’s hard to see what the West could have done. We had the intelligence, we had the invasion plan.”

It is unlikely that Donald Trump would have been able to prevent the war in Ukraine, says former British Armed Forces Minister James Heappey but adds “maybe his dialogue with Putin could have changed things.”

  1. Trump would have prevented the invasion by forcing Kyiv to formally sign away Crimea and the Donbas. Putin would have lined up the troops, and Trump would have proposed the peace plan that Putin gave him. And then if Ukraine had refused, they would have been more responsible when Putin invaded, and there would have been some excuse for trump to not defend Ukraine. " Ooh, if only they had accepted my peace plan, none of this bloodshed would have happened,"

  2. My best guess is that Trump would have told Zelensky that the US would not help Ukraine and that Ukraine better acquiesce to whatever Putin wanted.

So technically Trump would have prevented a war, although this would have been a win for Putin, just without any shots fired.

  3. Trump is P*tin's single most important Useful Idiot. Whilst Trump is convinced he is P*tin's best friend. Hence he could not have had any influence on P*tin's fixed aspirations, yet only would have supported P*tin in satisfying his absurd cravings.
