The Ukrainian military moved quickly to develop its own guided FPVs. By this spring, Ukraine’s A.I.-assisted drones were in testing. Six months later, they’re on the front line for combat use—and further refinement. If the 118th Mechanized Brigade’s brutal test strike against a live Russian is any indication, the drones already work pretty well.
Brovdi promised Ukraine’s guided FPV drones would get better, fast. “We will continue to develop them further,” he said.
Very nice, but very scary too!
That’s what AI provides, quick decisions that are difficult to defend against. There is a video somewhere of an AI swarm test and it’s fucking terrifying, the swarm just keeps going from target to target sweeping over trench after trench. The west needs to get into this before Russia adapts and becomes effective.
Slaughterbots v0.1 just became reality
Fuck
Now do something similar for the grenade dropping drones. Those are reusable for more than one target
Op-secs
The scarier thing is that due to the low cost per unit for drones, this realm of warfare is becoming more accessible for dangerous non-state actors.
That is fucking terrifying. No reaction time, no EW that would help, nothing. These things will be mass produced and launched from drone mother ship before this war is over, and all major players will have this capability in few years. Killbots are here to stay, and unlike in Futurama they will not have preset kill limits
Russian general: And I sent wave after wave of soldiers until their kill-counters reached their limit…
Test successfull. Next please!
SkyNet was such an appropriate name. I think they saw the future. 💀
Now produce 100 million and fix this problem
Scary. Imagine throwing a swarm of those at a platoon If they don’t have a skyranger like system defending the platoon the swarm will simply kill all of them. Very rapidly.
