Military police officers apprehended a man on the grounds of the Bundeswehr’s most important training center. It turned out that the man was a Russian national. He claimed to be passing through and to have been on the premises by mistake. The man was then able to leave the premises.

  1. I hope they searched him to ensure he wasn’t carrying any recording, gps or photographic devices. I would even suggest confiscating his cellphone and any handwritten notes.

  2. All major outdoor training areas are open to the public in Germany. Many a time, I have been on exercise, and a family has walked past, having a nice walk. When Soltau was open, we had a german civvi called wolfgang in his blue Bratty fast food van. Visit you in your tactical locations. In the UK, even live fire ranges are open to the public if red flags are not flying.
