  1. You might have seen a draft photo from me two days ago. Well spend some time processing the photos yesterday, and here they are. It’s incredibly rare to see auroras in london. But I am very delighted with the outcome.

I am used to seeing them in higher lattitude, but I never thought it would be possible to capture it from London. I like to focus on capturing it from interesting vantage points (since I’ve seen it quite a few times already) – but for first timers, it is a much better experience to be in a place with low light pollution.

The first two photos were taken 2 days ago, around 12:30am local time. During a burst where the sky became red for like 15mn. We were extremely lucky, as I gave my friend the challenge to try to capture it from this location, we arrived at the right time. It was visible to the naked high, and our iphones helped confirm it was auroras (and not some light pollution).

The two last photos were from the last big G4 KP8 burst, in May. At the time, I thought it was a once in a 20 years occurence. To my surprise, I am delighted that I was able to see it again.

The photos were taken with a GFX 100II – 20-35mm lens for the curious one. I also have few example taken from my phone on my IG (untitledshot) (had to screencast my phone – for those who thinks this is AI . it’s in my latest post on ig untitledshot).

If you have any question, please to let me know. Now considering printing it for my living room.

    Any question, let me know.

    joss (ig: untitledshot)
