They really need to disband the met and form a new police service. At this point being an officer in the met is like being a Catholic priest.

The Met employs about 45,000 people and, according to Ministry of Justice statistics, 27% of working adults have criminal convictions: More than 1 in 4 of us!
Yes there are bad apples in the Met, but (a) there are in any walk of life and (b) it is considerably less than 27% of Met employees that are rogue.
It does not require reform of the whole institution to deal with the few bad apples there are.
I’ve encountered quite a few Met officers. To a man they have been disgusting, racist and corrupt.
Gosh, his poor wife. It echos the awful things that Gisele Pelicot experienced. What’s worse is that there will be more women who are treated like this by the men they love and trust.
