Can it be that russia is using ukraine war as a training ground for to have well trained soldiers in the future

I am not a military strategist or anything but I imagine that a lot is learned in war that will make your military hopefully more lethal and effective in the future.
I assume that Russia has not started this war simply to gain experience for future wars. If they keep going at this rate there will be a significant decrease in the fighting male population in the future.
This only works if your soldiers fucking live. Also Russian tactics haven’t changed since the 50s so I’m not sure what changes they could make here that aren’t already known.
They all die or get mutilated
Hell no. They lost their best troops in the first days of the invasion. They are hemorrhaging troops, equipment, resources. No way this is anything other than Russia not being able to admit they made a bad decision and not man enough to admit it.
It doesn’t make sense, they had already lost their elite storm groups in 2022, this was basically the reason they had to enlist prisoners and civilians
Yes, it’s also possible that Putin is playing 5D political chess, but extremely improbable.
