What they said is:

To be clear the Su-34 was definitely shot down, that was confirmed with relatively credible sources like FIGHTERBOMBER, but we don’t know how it was shot down.
I mean it is within perfect range of the AMRAAM if it was fired from within Ukrainian territory. This could entice the Russians to stop dropping the glide bombs since they have to get so close to the border in order to drop them.
Most likely shot down by anti air. Would be incredibly stupid to tell the Russians what specific systems they have in that area.
The rumor comes when the facts are there

No..no it didn’t.
Very little chance they’re close to the LOC. AIM-120 wouldn’t lock on (f16 radar wouldn’t have the capability that far away).
Most likely crashed due to poor maintenance or not following SOP trying to locate the f16’s itself. Air to air kills aren’t going to be a thing unless they get Gripens with Meteor (and that won’t happen due to escalation management/geopolitics).
F16’s will remain in the rear areas for drone and cruise missile interception, and that’s it.
Would FighterBomber lie and say that an Su-34 that fell out of the sky due to poor maintenance was shot down by an F-16? Maybe the Russians have realised that “the Ukrainians aren’t effective, we’re just incompetent!” Isn’t the best propaganda strategy.
