Rising cost of hosting the Olympics

  1. Isnt London a really good example of Olympics hosting either way though? A lot of the really expensive stadiums and grounds (and I believe the olympic village itself) is still in use (for example the olympic stadium that West Ham uses now) ine could argue that a lot of the money spent for London has had more use than for other cities

  2. this is why they have been allocating host country nominations to countries with existing infrastructure, to reduce costs

  3. Is there a way for the International Olympics Committee (IOC) to provide incentives or reduce the costs ? I would be concerned that the amount of bids have decreased over the years.
