  1. If they didn’t have those baskets they’d be easier to park! source: I live in Amsterdam 🙂

  2. Lime bikes are a plague.
The company should be fined for having its property blocking pavements.

  3. This is Grosvenor Crescent Hyde Park Corner. The Royal Parks London 1/2 Marathon was today hence the like bikes littered everywhere. It’s a big event with tens of thousands in one area but yes they could definitely be parked better.

  4. As a parent, it’s such a pain encountering these on the pavement when you’re pushing a pram. Can’t even imagine how much of an inconvenience these must be for the blind and wheelchair users.

  5. It does my head in because I use Lime bikes all the time and they are an absolute godsend and at least for me regularly take a car off the streets. And not once have I parked it like a dickhead. I’ve left room nearby for others to get past and if it’s all full up go the fifty yards down the road to a place that does work.

Fundamentally if people weren’t acting like dickheads these would be brilliant for people rather than causing a problem.

But it’s London and it’s inevitable. So Lime themselves need better systems for officiating this. When I finish I take a photo of my geo-located bike and they have my credit card. So if I dump it so badly surely they need to be able to fine me or get rid of my account.

  6. I wonder how hard these things are to disassemble, can’t imagine it’d be **that** hard to unscrew them. As a disabled person these types of bikes and scooters a borderline hazard that wouldn’t have ever been allowed on the street to begin with.

  7. Been said plenty of times, Lime bikes are great but convert car parking bays into e-bike bays. if every street in London had one e-bike parking bay it could be transformational.
