The EU has so many problems and money holes at the moment that I don’t see why it should accept a country like Ukraine as member: poor, in a very bad condition after the war and extremely corrupted.
I hope the Erdogan government in Turkey changes because it has destroyed the country, economy, hope and future, in short everything. Turkey did not deserve this situation. It is a shame… Turkey can be useful and integrated within the European Union. It is not over yet. Hopes of equipped, educated, honest, hardworking and qualified young people in Turkey are about to run out.
There will be no enlargement any time soon. Not unless the EU gets a major overhaul.

Yeah we will join EU just after Morocco. So never after Erdoğan which is disaster in human form. We had our most chance in 1978 but government refused proposal to Turkey and Greece do joint application to European Economic Community to be not a burden and Greece become member in 1981. Probably EEC proposed it because being member of EEC may help to end Cyprus issue.
North Macedonia, Montenegro and Moldova should be next. Then when the Ukraine war ends, its them for sure.
I would welcome Georgia and Armenia too.
