πŸ‡«πŸ‡· πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ “I took on this commitment: now our military is training Ukrainian soldiers with the equipment they will use during missions. The Anne of Kyiv Brigade will be trained and equipped thanks to the solidarity of France,”

Emphasized the President of the Republic of France Emmanuel Macron on October 9, 2024, during a visit and meeting with Ukrainian servicemen who are currently training at the military training ground of the French Army.

The visit of the President of France Emmanuel Macron was accompanied by the Minister of the Armed Forces and Veterans of France Sebastien Lecorne and the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov.

France became the first country to train an entire brigade on its territory.

Training takes place in parallel with the transfer of equipment to prepare the soldiers as close as possible to the reality that is on the front and on the French equipment, machinery, equipment, logistics that they will use in operations.

  1. Fun fact: Anne of Kyiv longed to go back to clean, culturally rich and civilized Kyiv, she hated the dirty and disease ridden small town of Paris.

  2. Every civilized country in Europe should be equipping and training a brigade like France is. I’m from the UK and we absolutely should be doing it as well.

  3. We need to see more of this. From all European countries.
It is the only language Putin seems to understand.
Let us gather our troops on his boarder. Bring our weapons to bear. And make it clear – when we want to we will advance.

  4. It is not just solidarity because it is not a war in a far away place. Ukrainian troops are fighting our fight too, and if they fall, Russia would continue and civilians like me in Eastern Europe would have to get mobilised and dig trenches on the eastern border.

Political leaders should frame the war as European self defence against Russia, because Russia has announced that multiple times, and convince citizens that efforts such as equipping and training whole brigades and divisions are necessary.

If instead of delaying the equipment and training for a year, all Allies in total fully equipped and trained a corps of 2 divisions, training newly enlisted volunteers from March 2022 for 6-7 months, the Kharkiv and Kherson offensives could have expanded to the whole occupied territory.
