Did Brittney Griners incarceration take any noticeable toll on tourism to Russia?

In 2005 a young blonde women from the USA was abducted / murdered in Aruba, and the story was international news for months, and in a way, remains news because her body was never found. I recall reading at the time that after a few months of a press onslaught about young women traveling to Aruba, it crippled Aruba's tourism.

It made me wonder if an American woman (and semi famous athlete to boot) being imprisoned in Russia for 10 months over the faint presence of hashish in her suitcase brought pause to any measurable amount of potential tourists. Personally, this level of tyranny has made me weary of ever visiting Russia, a country I once longed to explore.
