  1. LOL when you were wondering what you were talinking about with winnie the pooh, I was wondering, huh what am I watching :P. But thx for the video again paul 🙂

  2. It might be a difference without distinction, but since it's been noted erroneously a couple of times now, I wanted to point out that Gazprom deals in natural gas, not oil. And the reason it's losing money is because the Europeans have mostly stopped buying the gas via pipeline from Russia. This is particularly crippling due to the fact that, as a gas, natural gas by physical nature has fewer options for transport than oil. Doesn't mean Gazprom didn't drop the ball by not investing in gasefication and alternate markets..but my inner Captain Pedantic compels me to point this out. Otherwise, great info/analysis 🙂

  3. I am not exactly sure about the details, but from what I understand this issue is related to a family feud in regards to the Wildberries warehouses (sort of a Russian Amazon). The couple rhat owned it divorced and the wife had relations to Chechnya, she sent armed guards to take contorl of the offices in Moscow some months ago. it's quite a huge soap opera in Russia.

  4. "If" is a weasel word here. Not buying it, he'll be bought a new yacht and all his men will get the latest rich boys toys from Dubai. Maybe they slighted his men for the Kursk stuff and now he's saving face and shaking them down for goodies to keep the peace.

  5. The Chechens have been fighting the Russians for five hundred years. Briefly "independent" after the 1993-1996 Chechen Russian War. Their leader, Dudayev, had been a general in the Rusiian military. He was assasinated by the Russians who, I believe for the first time, used his cellphone signal to guide a missile strike. Putin started the "second" Chechen-Russian War, 1999-2009, during which the Russians bombarded the Chechen capital, Grozni, into rubble in the largest bombardment snce World War 2. Eight thousand Chechens were killed. The Russians rebuilt Grozni and, in typically cynical fashion, trumpted that the city was "rebuilt" "in record time" and was "better than ever".

  6. Chechens who were along with Dudajev are sharping their knives. The country is full of people who wait right time to act ,when Russia loses grip, so does Kadyrov over Dudajeveits.
