25. Fuel duty, and VAT on petrol. Road tax and VAT on cars, yet our roads are in a shocking state. I can't afford to go out and eat out, or have a pint because they've made it too expensive. When I retire I can't afford to stop working. When I die, whatever I've earned and saved is likely to be taken away by the government.

26. Just a gentle reminder under Thatcher higher rate tax was 60%, if people like Eamon Holmes were still paying that we might not be in the mess we're in.
