4. The United Nations Resolution 1701 requires that Israel had to pull out of Lebanon completely in 2006. It also requires that Hezbollah permanently retreat to north of the Litani River. It states that no armed fighting forces could be south of that line of demarcation. The only armed groups that can be there are UNIFIL forces and Lebanese regular army troops. Remarkably, the Lebanese army troop are the only ones strikingly absent.
   Israel kept up their part of the bargain. Hezbollah did not. They are in flagrant violation. I don't see the U.N. getting all worked up over that!
   Point two: The UNIFL force assigned there have a clear mandate via Council Resolution 2749. That mandate clearly states they are tasked with helping the Lebanese Army keep the south of the country protected from "unauthorized armed personnel, such as Hezbollah" …..they are not doing that. They may as well go home.
