How much money you have does not define your class in the UK
I mean it does make sense the state of economy these days is such that you gotta be a millionaire to live comfortably, which is what middle class used to mean in the past.
It’s not like in the USA where your wealth garners your class status.
Over here it’s your born working class you die working class and personally I say I was working class to the very end and with 20trillion in my Lloyds account 😂.
There’s middle class folks that run generations and they’re dirt poor , it’s just their great grand father came from a long line of clerks some random county town over and now their great grand son is in I.T and barely keeping the lights on.
Then you’ll have some proper working class stock and their father’s fathers struggled in’t mines but their 16 year old grandson, still working class brings in 150 grand a year being a sparky.
I’d like to take a poll of you all and ask which class overall are the happiest regardless of circumstances and has the most fun 😂
The working classes will always win on that one.
It’s trying tp push the American definition of middle class. Does not apply in the UK.
Can have a million pounds and just own a house and 2 cars. All very nice ones obviously but definitely middle class.
The stupid ones are the ones who earn £50k a year and think they’re middle class and vote for the Conservative because they think the gov is after their few grand in tax
