Gassing up for wintertime!

I love how I moved from the Nordics to experience the complete collapse of a faded empire and its vassal state turning into failed state territory with (potential) rolling blackouts over the winter.

I know it’s not going to happen, most likely, hence the tag but is rather dystopian to me that this might be the case for the country this winter.

  1. This is what happens when the grid has too little resilience. I believe it’s slightly better now than last year.

  2. So nice to know that all that energy we ship to England every year (and pay for the national grid to carry it down there) has been wisely used on building and maintaining a reliable national grid, and not just frittered away on the bosses bonusses and the shareholder dividends.

I shall raise a glass to them by candlelight while I freeze.

  3. Well done all the nut-zero loons who have given us the highest priced and most unreliable electricity in Europe thanks to the mad obsessions with turbines and solar panels.
