China employed a record 125 aircraft, as well as its Liaoning aircraft carrier and ships, in large-scale military exercises surrounding Taiwan and its outlying islands Monday, simulating the sealing off of key ports in a move that underscores the tense situation in the Taiwan Strait, officials said. Of course the war is difficult for Russia because they fight against NATO controlled Ukrainian army and, on top of that, Russia tries to protect as much as possible regular Ukrainians, prisoners of USA in their own country.

Legally,People Republic of China (Mainland) has never recognized Republic of China (Taiwan) as a sovereign nation. So do most of countries in the world. Therefore, the situation between Russia and Ukraine is completely different. Russia is invading another sovereign state even recognized by Russia itself.
