  1. >The Israeli military has reportedly discovered Russian weaponry, including small arms, rockets, and various munitions, in a Hezbollah bunker

    >The Israeli forces reportedly found rockets, mortar shells, Kalashnikov rifles, magazines, and bulletproof vests among other equipment

In recent times, whenever there’s “evil,” Russia is always involved.

  2. Most likely source here is not official support, but corrupt logistics personnel in Syria selling off extra munitions to boost their own salaries.

  3. I wouldn’t be surprised at them having Russian weapons but the only models the article specifically mentions are Kalashnikov rifles. I would like to know specifics. How modern are the models, could they be knockoffs, what are the most advanced weapons they have.

  4. I wonder if Russia’s like “Man, we could have used all those weapons in Ukraine. We shouldn’t have given them to those baddies.”

  5. It’s strange to not read this on Axios, NYTimes, Reuters, etc. But then again, it’s also strange to read so much coverage on the war and not see the word “Hamas” or “Hezbollah” even mentioned in those same articles.

  6. To be fair, didn’t Russia have like a billion arms just sitting around after the collapse of the Soviet Union? You can find AKs and other old Russian equipment in almost every corner of the world because black market gun dealers sold them cheap to anyone who wanted them. Now if it was NEW Russian weapons, that might be a different issue.

  7. dude Kalashnikov rifles are the most produced rifles ever, finding one in middle east is hardly any news, Hezbollah and Hamas also use a lot of m16s, doesn’t mean US is actively supplying them

  8. Russia armed every any of Israel since the 50’s, the fact that the Israeli leadership is afraid to take a stance against Russia and work with Ukraine is an embarrassment.

  9. Makes you wonder why Israelis love people like Trump so much, when he’s a Russian asset and wants Putin to be successful.

You would think anyone even remotely cozy with Putin and Russia would be Israel’s enemy.

  10. I mean its russia, anyone above peasant level in the military can make a few things ‘disappear’ for the right price…

  11. They’ve been using Kornets since at least the 2006 war so that’s not exactly news here.

  12. If you really wanted to stop terrorism, we should have laws which hold countries financially liable for when their weapons end up in the hands of terrorists.

    * If a terrorist group ends up with a bunch of AR-15s, the United States should be liable.
    * If a terrorist group ends up with a bunch of AK-47s, the Russian Federation should be liable.
    * If a terrorist group ends up with a bunch of Glocks, the Austrian government should be liable.

These are tools of war. The minimum we should ask governments is to keep track of where these weapons are.

  13. >Israeli forces reportedly found rockets, mortar shells, Kalashnikov rifles, magazines, and bulletproof vests

Who gives a shit? I could find most of that stuff in any third world country on Earth. Call me when they find a cruise missile.

  14. Hardly surprising. It’s only news cause of Russia and Ukraine.

You’ll find the same shit everywhere
