1. Ok you unexpectedly gave birth. Why the heck do you try to kill the baby? Just leave the baby to orphanage if you don’t want the baby. Poor innocent baby.

2. “Left her baby in the toilet” is probably a better translation lest you imagine Antalya being equipped with outhouses or those portable honey buckets like I did.

4. This is why baby hatches are such a useful invention, there are always going to be assholes like this who just want to get rid of what they consider dead weight. If they had an option of doing it legally most of them would and the baby wouldn’t have to suffer or die as a result.

12. I’m my experience Turkish people love kids. Even airport security and police were playing with my daughter at Antalya airport. I’m sure they’ll go for the toughest sentence.

14. I don’t think she should go to prison for this, she needs mental help, like trauma help. Prison won’t help at all in this case.
