  1. The answer is simple. California has regulations and laws that mandate a transition to EV usage by 2035. It's also in their best interest because California is the most populous state in the United States at 40 million people. With that many people, there's millions of cars that could potentially be emitting harmful greenhouse gases and by electrifying those cars, that keeps a lot of those harmful gases from going up into the atmosphere. This would also make the air in places like Los Angeles much cleaner to breathe. I only wonder to myself how the power grid is going to handle the increase in EV adoption.

  2. Last time I went looking for a car, I tried to find EVs in my area, and there just weren't any available. I even asked one dealership about ordering one and was literally told, "You don't live in California."

    So I settled for a hybrid Toyota. Not even a plug-in hybrid, those weren't available in my area, either. :/
