I saw these fly over a baseball game many years ago. Holy hell was that completely unexpected and they were HUGE. I got goosebumps when I suddenly saw it above the open dome.
Saw one at an airshow in Missouri. Crowd was focused on some other plane in front of us, when all of a sudden a large shadow passed over us, thought it was a cloud at first. Looked up, it was this big black angular plane swooping from behind us, and overhead, and already passed us and banking away before I even noticed it. It didn’t make a sound. Fucking creepy. Fucking awesome.
When you’re trying to swat a common housefly with your hand against a surface, they are generally too fast and can fly away before you hit them.
The trick is to bring your hand close, but wait- they’re watching you. Wait until he goes on with his business and starts walking again- that’s when he stops paying attention to you, and that’s when you hit them. Works almost every time
