  1. Common myths include:

    – Hills being impossible because diesel is much less efficient in hills. Seen here requiring less energy in mountainous terrain.

    – Regen on downhill being impossible because no battery could take that energy.

    – Extreme ranges being necessary for an entire day driving shift at full highway speed. The limit in many use cases is the daily driving time and rest stops. Even much older trucks are manageable with a tradeoff between better comfort and longer shift length due to longer breaks.

    – Weight making it impossible: A weighbridge indicating the legislated 2 tonne buffer with no concession for axle weight is already sufficient extra for most long haul work.

    – Energy consumption being some huge number like 1.8-3kWh/km or manufacturer estimates not being anywhere near accurate highway range. Seen here getting 0.8-1.4kWh/km and mentioning 1.6kWh/km as a high level with 1kWh/km as an average.
