France announces new Martinique curfew measures to quell unrest • FRANCE 24 English

France announced on Friday new curfew measures to try and quell civil unrest on its Caribbean island of Martinique, which has been hit by violent protests over the last month due to anger over rising living costs.

  10. It's interesting how people are complaining about the cost of things but they are standing around, causing unrest, in the middle of the day. Maybe try getting a job? I don't believe for a minute that all the people in the video are on the night shift.

  13. These people always thought they were French.Now look at them almost two thousand in France pretending to be black Frenchmen. They are not strong like st 🇱🇨Lucia or 🇩🇲Dominica. Along with Guadalupe they looked down on their fellow Caribbean brothers and sisters. We are French I remember a group boasted three years ago as they waved their French flag, we laughed the childish adults. There're weak like little children still colonies in 2024. Look how strong and proud islands like 🇧🇧Barbados is here in our region and the world perhaps the strongest black society in this region in modern times.

  14. They will NEVER seek independence, only if marine lepen kicks them, Guadeloupe AND FRENCH GUYANA OUT. they have an euro passport, euro as currency and ALL THE BENEFITS OF BEING FRENCH.
