  1. Apparently, to be donated to the National Museum of Ireland.

Is it time for a dedicated musical branch of the National Museum? we currently have Decorative Arts & History (Collins’ Barracks), Country Life, Archeology and Natural History (Dead Zoo).

  2. Great news. Glad it’ll go on show in Ireland rather than becoming some rich guy’s toy.

  3. Delighted some kind person has stepped up and preserved something for Ireland.

And for the news to come out so quickly after the auction.

    Fantastic news.

  4. Wehhey that’s a win, reckon the national museum would let me play my lovely horse on it?

  5. That’s rad.

Personally I would have been ok if someone bought it and kept playing it. Love it when legendary instruments gets passed down and have long lives. Like how the guy from Metallica has the Peter Green / Garry Moore Les Paul and plays it.

  6. Great news. It would’ve been awful to see it leave. Looking forward to hopefully one day seeing it on display or stage again.
