‘Unsurvivable’ Hurricane Helene hits Florida
A hurricane carrying an extremely dangerous storm surge made landfall in northwestern Florida as forecasters warned of an “unsurvivable scenario”.
Officials fear Hurricane Helene, which was listed as a Category 4 storm at 11.10pm Eastern time on Thursday (4.10am Friday BST), will leave a trail of widespread destruction as it moves inland through Florida and towards Georgia.

Getting advice from DeSantis would not give me confidence. Just last week his surgeon general told seniors not to get the new covid booster. He lied and said it would cause long term damage when there is zero evidence it would. And DeSantis has done nothing about the skyrocketing costs of insurance in Florida. What a mess.
