Weeb's video from 2 months ago aged very well "How the battle for Korenevo will decide the course of the Kursk offensive".
This is the second failed endeavor after the failed greatest counteroffensive 2023. After ukraine rejected any peace plan or negotiations, expecting a military decision would bring better results, they are are on the wrong way to underline this.
Factually, Russia is doing a lot better, but far away is a collapse
the ukrainian offensive was their battle of the Bulge
Awesome reporting and analysis as always 🙌🏻
One aspect is often overlooked: Ukraine has occupied Kursk with the help of Nato states. They did not only supply weapons and equipment, but also eliminated defenders approaching with Himars. The Western states may not have noticed this in their war mania, but in Russia but also other states this was registered very attentively. The West could have stayed out of the already unpromising undertaking. They did not.
But I thought the 'genius' Zelensky was going to have a very powerful bargaining chip in Kursk!
I think what we forget is that Ukraine is entirely dependent on the western support to continue the war, and the western countries have a culture of the instant. This means that Ukraine constantly needs these short term successes (no matter how disastrous they are for the long term) that they can blow out of proportions in the media to guarantee further western support. If no Kursk offensive, Russia would have progressed slightly slower along the frontlines while that might have been the better long term choice, should such a strategy guarantee further western support? Furthermore the only path that doesn’t lead to a humiliating defeat on the long term for Ukraine is one where the war escalates and NATO intervenes. The Kursk offensive makes sense in a continuation of the conflict’s escalation.
All in all, Ukraine is in a horrible situation, and I understand the logic behind trying to change the dynamic instead of slowly being grinned down by the Russian armed forces.
Your Comments are precised and totally correct. Therefore I do agreed with it
The Ukrainian army invaded Kursk with great number of soldiers, to successfully shift US public opinion in favor of Biden's & Kamala's war. They started the offensive just 3 months before the US election, in order that their sacrifices will be apparent to the mainstream media only AFTER the US election….I know many Kamala's supporters who still refuse to accept Ukraine's failure, due to the ongoing battles in Kursk. This invasion is all about marketing and propaganda of the neocons. If the neocons win the US election, the Kursk invasion would be deemed "successful". They will thereafter try to attract more support for their war.

Sarkozy's days look numbered
guys im starting to get the feeling that the kursk offensive is gonna turn into the sumy defensive
Weeb, you really need to be less reactionary. Many here might not remember, but you were saying one day into the offensive about how it showed that offensives still can be done and that it was a great success that showed Russia was taking things too slowly.
The Ukrainian goal was clearly the Kursk region's nuclear powerplant, and they only got about halfway to it. The operation was an object failure once it became a stalemate, even if the Russians had never pushed back.
The mistake was trying to hold it
Why russian dont cross the border everywhere they can?
Ukraine wasnt strategically important.
Yes I have noticed that a lot. It seems that Ukraine treats every rural town like it is Verdun; an important symbol of ukranian pride that cannot be given up. so they never withdraw and fight until they can fight no longer. It is incredibly brave; stupid but still brave. Also does anyone have any idea what the Kursk offensive was supposed to achieve? I have not heard any rational possibilities and some of the irrational ones like Capturing Kursk NPP and kuchartov nuclear weapons storage depot are the closest possibilities.
apparently during this Kursk offensive the "Ukrainians" used the HIMARS and ATACMS to hit some Russia fixed counter ICDM radar sites and capture some other Russian advanced assets . so that's why they did this we wanted them to. strategically it was incredibly stupid, Ukraine's problem is man power they lack , and taking huge numbers to attack Russia with no real goal was going to sacrifice men they dont have . the only thing that helped Ukraine is it would have given them a negotiating position for a cease fire but , they didn't accept one. this was Battle of the Bulge stupid for Ukraine , taking resources they dont have to invade enemy territory while you loose your own territory . But America and England like the results and thats clearly what the war is about
🇷🇺❤️.
I agree, the Kursk offensive was a massive failure done for political not tactical reasons.
Everything Kiev and NATO did was a strategic failure! All they had were photo op and press release successes…
Another embarrassing day for zelensky and biden
