  1. Cuba can't update anything, their national gross product is less than they consume. Their rating is so low they can't afford to borrow the money. If it wasn't for Russia they would be in even worse shape than they are now.

  2. Cuba can buy and sale to 199 countries . In this world the blockage they say they have doesn't exist they even buy from us food and medicine.whY ???? They do that??? If most countries have what' they buy from us going back to the beginning they don't sale or buy from 199 countries because Cuba is totally broke . Broke Economically period the Castro's broke that country in 64

  3. Cuba needs to use the swamp land at the lower tip for a nuclear power plant instead of planting rice and invite other countries to invest in more resorts so they can begin to rebuild it's tourist industry and infrastructure.

  4. A buddy visited Cuba recently as part of a humanitarian aid tour group. His mind was blown almost out of his skull at the level of destitution that is the norm there. He is in his 50s and never traveled outside the country much, so he was shocked. He said it makes Puerto Rico look like Dubai by comparison. US has never forgiven Cuba for 1962, and the Cuban government has never shown any interest in apologizing, so they live in a 60-year old economic black hole by choice.

  5. About a year ago, they had a fire that burned up all of their fuel reserves so they had no power for awhile but now their generators are beyond repair. Not sure which country will step up and float them a loan but I'm sure a deal will be worked out.

  6. This is what the likes of AOC wants for us in the United States. For us but of course not for herself. I’m sure the big wigs in Cuba have electricity.

  7. They need to make investments in solar power. It is warm and sunny there. Also a change of government? Cubans need to organize and fight back against the corruption and ineptitude. It has to come from them.
