I want this SO BAD (but I can’t have it) – Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design

You know, I was surprised when the new Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design ACTUALLY showed up at our door. With a design that looks like it was ripped from a Sci-fi movie from the 2010s, Huawei has created a stunning looking device… with some compromises. Is a triple folding screen phone cool enough to make Linus switch to a phone without Google services?

  1. I am sorry, but how can you call yourself a "tech reviewer" if you don't know how to install microG in huawei phones, it is super easy, takes about 4-5 minutes. people who watch your stuff don't know much about tech

  2. Huawei automatically detecting what hand you're using and Samsung won't even add ambidextrous gesture controls like every other android in existence

  3. "Huawei has gone from a copy cat brand to…" he says while holding a phone made from stolen technology from samsung that huawei paid thieves about $12 million for.

  4. The USB C port will soon have to make room for the camera bump in order to fit on it because these are becoming so small! These are getting so thin that eventually the USB C port will have to share space with the camera bump to even fit on it!

  5. Why are you lying again ? You know very well that you CAN install google services on Mate X and they work normally with no ads or lag or anything. It takes 5 minutes to do that. Thought undocumented/lying were in the past. Guess not.

  6. The Huawei ban affected the countries that applied it, more than it affected Huawei, Imagine if Samsung, Apple, and other phone manufacturers had to compete with Huawei at the level it is right now.

For me now Samsung and Apple are out-of touch-companies, Apple sells overpriced (be specs) devices locked into their own ecosystem and sold as luxury items, and Samsung does it's own things similar to Apple, where it pushes you towards buying the most expensive phone they have.

  7. Watch the Chinese coverage of this phone , it's trash, won't last a year and the chip is years old. They sell for less than retail in China now 😂

  8. Looks like the USA and many other Western governments, are all proponents for a free-market…

Unless Asian corporations are beating Western rivals, in their own western market! That's when we start throwing accuses of back-doors in Chinese products, just as our own government puts back-doors in our western products…

Maybe the NSA could've patented their back-doors…

  9. I have loved Huawei phones for a decade, it's really too bad the government crap has to interfere with having nice things. It's not like Google isn't stealing all kinds of information through Google Apps, doing all kinds of IP manipulation through Google Scholar, and selling or giving access to what it knows to its "friends"!

  10. MicroG will get Google apps. No wallet or Auto though. At least Chinese companies are innovative, unlike the walled Apple, Google & Samsung. We're like frogs in a well sometimes. There's a whole innovative world out there if we look out!

  11. And the reality is revealed: Huawei wasn't sanctioned by America because of security concerns. They didn't ban ALL Chinese brands. Also what security risk does non governmental use pose?! it doesn't pass the laugh test.

What DOES threaten America though, is their incredible hardware that lasts indefinitely. I'm using a Huawei phone that's over 5 years old and it's still perfect where as every phone before it failed within 18 months at most. The battery life has been consistently incredible. No slowing with age. An economy that depends upon consumerism can't survive when dependable products are introduced to the market. THAT is why America banned Huawei. It's transparent and pathetic.

Instead of banning the competition, how about you just make a better product and compete on the open market as capitalism is supposed to result in the best result?
