Planes struggle to land at Heathrow as Storm Ashley hits UK
Planes at Heathrow Airport have been seen getting blown around by the 80mph winds of Storm Ashley this morning (20 October).
A number of flights from the like of BA and Virgin Atlantic were seen by Big Jet TV making their approach, sometimes sideways, before struggling to touch down in the bluster.
Storm Ashley is “likely” to bring a threat of injuries and danger to life, the Met Office has said, with weather warnings issued across the UK.
The storm is the first named storm of the year.

Who’s that massive nerd screaming at the plane.
So did they struggle or was it easy? Getting mixed messages here.
Standard landing for us!
Oh thank God this man was there to command the winds
No storm in oxford
London is the absolute pits!
Easy Easy comon Easy
Easy easy easy….
Easy is the wrong word, methinks.
I’m about an hour from Heathrow. Went to the beach a few hours ago and just come back from the evening dog walk. No coat need, and not a single bit of wind. What a load of rubbish.
The pilots know what thay are doing thay are professional at what thay do. Cut the crazy commentator. Fantastic. 😊😊
I quit watching after the 4th "Easy easy".
hard, hard
Does he say this when he's cooking his eggs in the morning 😂
This is ancient footage.
Ah yes the unemployed plane lovers who didn’t have it in them to become actual pilots or engineers but “ooooh look the plane flies”
Mate shhhhhhhhhhh…
Thank goodness they were all okay
Easy Easy 😂
The wind was so damn bad today , a leaf flew right into my face!
And this is what the lovie brigade forget, how they attacked innocent men and woman, girls and boys, slaughtered some took others hostage, some still being held hostage, and the lovie brigade forgiving the wrong side.
Easy 😂
I love Jerry's commentary! I've been watching Big Jet tv since Storm Ciara a few years ago. He gets the best spots at LHR 😊

Does that man know any other adjectives in the English language? 😂

Get a grip, stop catastrophising a bit of wind. Since when did we start giving storms names? For crying out loud we are not Americans, we are British, we do stoicism.
Imagine this commentator as your flight examiner
Easy easy……
We've paid lots to get coverage of this storm we've over hyped, the storm to end all storms so we've got to try to make the most of it….
Wow
Easy easy 💦 💦
the guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about
"Weather not always 100% perfect", screams insane commentator.
That’s sounds easy, lots of pray and prayer hope it’s always easy peasy
Naming storms is american and stupid.
I experienced and seen this every year for the last 50 years.
