Nasrallah Assassination: How Israel tracked down and killed Hezbollah leader | BBC News

Hezbollah has suffered a string of military defeats by Israel, culminating in the assassination of its leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut, in a huge bombing raid by the Israeli military.

Many more of its senior commanders are said to have been killed by Israel in recent days. It follows the detonation of explosives in electronic pagers and radios that killed and wounded thousands of Hezbollah members across Lebanon.

So how did Israel and its Mossad security service manage to carry out these operations? How did it track down and assassinate Hezbollah’s leader, a man who was heavily protected and had had survived decades as head of the organisation?

Anna Foster presents BBC News at Ten reporting by security correspondent Frank Gardner.

  1. Given Allah is omnipotent and nothing happens in this world without his sanction, it's only reasonable to conclude that the killing of Nasrallah was sanctioned by Allah so Israel was successful in doing what they did. Allah has a plan for a better future for all of us I believe.

  2. DEA and Mossad has probably know this champ Whereabout for years and live and let live, until this uncle decide he wants penetrate into the business of Israel.
