Mustafa Barghouti: Sinwar not viewed as a ‘terrorist’ by Palestinians | Middle East conflict

A prominent Palestinian advocate has warned that the killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar will not change the dynamic of the war in Gaza.

Mustafa Barghouti, president of the Palestinian National Institute, said Sinwar was not seen as a “terrorist” by Palestinians but was viewed as someone who “fought for his country and his people”.

Mr Barghouti also accused Western media of double standards in how they reported Israeli and Palestinian deaths, adding that the 7 October atrocity was “a result of ethnic cleansing since 1948”.

  11. Sky and BBC are the biggest supporters and cheerleaders of a illegal brutal occupation, year of ethnic cleansing and the killing of Palestinians by Israel, an apartheid regime and now genocide. These western media are the same ones who supported apartheid in South Africa until the very end and branded freedom fighters like Nelson Mandela as terrorists. They believe we have forgotten about which side they are on……they are on the side of the oppressors who are occupying Palestinian lands and killing them and stealing their lands daily. They call Israel terrorism settlers’ violence and self defense while any fight back against the oppress is labeled as terrorism in order to justify Israel’s crimes against humanity.
