Delhi’s Triple Environmental Crisis: Stubble Burning, Toxic Air and Frothy Yamuna

Delhi, India’s national capital, is facing a severe environmental crisis. Stubble burning in neighbouring Punjab and Haryana is causing air pollution to reach hazardous levels. The Yamuna River is turning toxic with a layer of froth, posing a severe health hazard. The smog tower in Connaught place place, designed to purify air, remains inactive. Politicians are blaming each other for the crisis, with the Bharatiya Janata Party accusing the Aam Aadmi Party of corruption and mismanagement, while the latter blames the former for defaming them before the upcoming Delhi elections.
